We'll see if JB Jr gets from Mets' radar to Mets' dugout.
Kevin Smith gets favorable press - his write up sounded like David Peterson.
Saw that O's announcer article headline - made me think of Marv Albert. He's been doing Knicks and other NBA games for about 55 years - just heard him the other day, not realizing he still broadcasts. Sounded the same! My favorite game of his was when Knicks were trying to win a then-record 18th straight game, and were down by 5 with 16 seconds to go against the Cincy Royals, who had Cousy and Oscar Robertson, without a 3 point line - and they pulled it off. Marv was full blown MARV at the end of that game.
Another great addition to the site.
ReplyDeleteThanks John.
Nice, nice links.

Thanks Mack and Tom. Come back again - these will be updated throughout the day.
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. Hank Aaron.
ReplyDeleteBetween last year and this year (so far), that's going to be one heckuva pick-up game in heaven. :-(
Bob W - Hank was one of the best on and off the field.
