The deal between the players and owners expires before the 2022 season begins.
I am sure they reach a speedy resolution and meet together online singing "We Are The World"...
I'm also sure I'm going to flap my ears and fly to the moon.

I think differences are deep-seated and that there will be a strike. The timing, right after(?) a pandemic, couldn’t be worse.

Universal greed is a two-way street. However, given the situations with the pandemic shortened 2020 season and the rebound in 2021 with the expanded in-season roster and shrunken 2021 September roster, I'm not so sure that a strike is the threat many perceive.
