97 mph max exit velo (98th percentile in 2022 class)

6.65 second 60-yard dash (93rd percentile)

Only average arm pushes him to second.

Huge leadership skills both on and off.

Right now, one of the top 5 picks in the draft.


2. Robert Moore (2)

Walked over 14 %

Switch hitter.

Projects as + defender.

+ speed both on-base and as defender.

Good bat-to-ball skills

Power developing.

Can play 3B also.

 

4. Brooks Carlson (5)

Transferred to Auburn this season.

++ hitter

4-yr. Samford career: near .360-BA.

Advanced age will hurt him in the draft.

Should start at second in 2022.

Also, advanced defender in CF.

 

7. Andrew Pintar (new)

  1. Robert Moore shows remarkable power for a 5'9", 165 guy. Interesting. Toy Cannon II?

    If we drafted one of these second basemen, I would only want a guy who can control his strikeouts, shows poser and speed.

  2. Fine job as usual, Mack. I eonder how you compile these lists, since I doubt that you travel around the country scouting. Do you have certain scouts who rate these kids, or do you just review their stats?

      I gather info and scouting info from scouts, draft writers, coaches, and players

      Thir rank lists way heavy.on the final process.

  3. I believe the best 2bs are SS that have to be moved off
