The Wilfredo Tovar on base extravaganza continues with 4 mor times on base. Is it possible he is reinventing himself…as a hitter?
ReplyDeleteWouldn’t it be so cool if everyone can stop their afixiation with Kris Bryant and start banging the drum for Tovar? LOL! I could see it now: Joel Sherman writes this long article on the benefits of signing Tovar. Jon Heyman can write how eight or nine teams are after Tovar in a frenzy. Ken Rosenthal in The Athletic writes a 3,000 word article on how Tovar has changed his swing after watching Rod Carew’s tapes and has added power after working with Barry Bonds…
ReplyDeleteNext time someone hijacks your article Tom - which was a good one but I was working all day yesterday - tell them this.
Gus, ya gotta start rumors somewhere. I also hear Danny Muno is about to sign a multi-year contract with Seattle.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Gus and Tom. Asdrubal Cabrera is also raking in Venezuela. Added that in to try and give some context to Tovar. Still, it is great to see.
ReplyDeleteJohn, whenever someone mentions how Asdrubel Cabrera is doing, it makes me wonder how his twin, Odubel Herrera, is doing 😄
