Tylor Megill has a great year and leads in wins as both deGrom and Scherzer spend time on the IL. Bassitt pitches well but gets no run support.
Seth Lugo takes over the closer role in mid-season and is the top reliever.
Mets top rookie is Jake Mangum, who starts the last 85 games in an injury-riddled outfield.
No Mets hitter wins the league MVP. This is the Mets, ya know.
No Mets pitcher wins the Cy Young this year.
Gary Cohen wins an Emmy for Outstanding Sports Personality/Play-By-Play.

ReplyDeleteThis team is really hard to predict. I am not as bullish as I was a couple weeks ago. I think with two wild-cards, they will at least get to the playoffs.
Buck can probably manage the Mets to 85 wins.
Health matters. If deGrom and Schertzer are healthy in October, they can do a lot of damage.
