Open Thread - It's Opening Day - Time For Each Of You To Go On Record

OK - opening day is here - time for each of you to go on record, if you're brave enough.

Mets 2022 win-loss record will be....

Will Mets win the Division, Wild Card, World Series...or miss the playoffs....

Mets' offensive MVP....

Mets' top pitcher....

Mets' top reliever...

Mets' top rookie...

Will a Met's hitter finally win league MVP...if so, who?

Will a Mets' pitcher win the Cy Young...if so, who?

  2. Record: 88-74

Mets will miss the playoffs on the final weekend.

    Offensive MVP: Alonso

    Top pitcher: Scherzer

    Top reliever: May

Top rookie: Will there even be a rookie?

The Mets will have neither an MVP or a Cy Young.

  3. The Mets will go 89-74, finishing 2nd in the NL East to the Braves.
Francisco Lindor has a bounce-back year and wins offensive MVP for the Mets.
Tylor Megill has a great year and leads in wins as both deGrom and Scherzer spend time on the IL. Bassitt pitches well but gets no run support.
Seth Lugo takes over the closer role in mid-season and is the top reliever.
Mets top rookie is Jake Mangum, who starts the last 85 games in an injury-riddled outfield.
No Mets hitter wins the league MVP. This is the Mets, ya know.
No Mets pitcher wins the Cy Young this year.
Gary Cohen wins an Emmy for Outstanding Sports Personality/Play-By-Play.

  4. I think first team to 88 wins wins the division.

This team is really hard to predict. I am not as bullish as I was a couple weeks ago. I think with two wild-cards, they will at least get to the playoffs.

Buck can probably manage the Mets to 85 wins.

Health matters. If deGrom and Schertzer are healthy in October, they can do a lot of damage.

Top pitcher - gotta go Schertzer

    Top reliever - Diaz

    Top rookie - Plummer

    No MVP or Cy Young

  5. I go with 88-74 - Jake loss costly

    Wild card winner

    Mets' offensive MVP - Pete

    Mets top pitcher - Max

    Top reliever - Sugar

Pete 4th in league MVP, Lindor 9th, Marte 10th

Mets' top rookie - beats me - let's go with Holderman
