Last Time Out: The Binghamton Rumble Ponies fell to the Portland Sea Dogs 9-1 in the series opener on Tuesday at Mirabito Stadium. Jose Peroza hit a solo homer in the sixth inning to account for Binghamton's only run. Daniel Juarez threw a careerhigh four innings out of the bullpen and tied his season high with five strikeouts. 

Double Trouble: The Binghamton Rumble Ponies have found success in doubleheaders this season. The Ponies have swept two doubleheaders, against Hartford and last week at Reading, while splitting their other two DHs. 

Happy Birthday, Jose: Infielder Jose Peroza has homered in three of his past five games, including Tuesday night's blast to the train tracks over the left field wall. The 22-year-old is now tied with Matt Rudick for the current team lead with nine homers. Peroza ranks top 10 in the Eastern League in five offensive categories: 4th in SLG (.568), T-4th in XBH (24), T-4th in 2B (14), 6th in OPS (.953), and 7th in AVG (.302). 

Happy Birthday, Christian Scott: RHP Christian Scott, the Mets' No. 27 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline, will make his Double-A debut tonight on his 24th birthday. Scott is coming off one of the best starts of his career for High-A Brooklyn, as he tied a career high with five innings and totaled a career-high nine strikeouts on Friday against High-A Greenville. He will make back-to-back starts against Boston Red Sox affiliates in High-A and Double-A

. Rudick Rules: Outfielder Matt Rudick reached base four times in the series opener against Portland on Tuesday, extending his league-leading on base percentage. He ranks in top 10 in the Eastern League in six offensive categories: 1st in OBP (.449) T-1st in R (43), 3rd in OPS (.966), T-4th in BB (41), 6th in AVG (.303), 10th in SLG (.517).
