This day’s Player Of The Day has to go to SYR LHSP Joey Lucchese who threw the kind of outing that gets one promoted to the Bigs (hint hint) - 6.2-IP, 0-R, 6-K, 0-BB. Seasonal AAA ERA down to 2.33.

 SYR SS Jonathan Arauz - 2-3, doubke (8), .244

SYR LF DJ Stewart - 2-5, R, .911-OPS

SYR C Michael Perez - 2-4

 

B-Mets: 

Honorable mention goes to someone that should be playing in Syracuse by now: 


JohnFromAlbany - Jose Peroza goes deep for the B-Mets

 only run as they fall 9-1.  It's Jose's 9th HR of the year as he is hitting .302 with a .953 OPS

 

Ernest Dove - Mets IF prospect Jose Peroza has put it all together this season so far.  ready for him and Matt Rudick to get to AAA and see what happens.  Curious when next wave of promotions will come.

C Julio Jorge Zayas (JJ?) (17) continues to impress at the plate - 2-4, RBI, .435, 1.328-OPS

RHSP Jose Chirinos (18) tossed his second scoreless outing for the year. Now totalling  8-IP, 12-K, 0.00, 0.25-WHIP

  1. The only good thing to hopefully come out of this crappy season is lets see all the top prospects play. Do we really need Voit to take away more AB's from Vientos? Something else is Max or should I say Minimum Scherzer is done after this season along with CC so lets hope they use the 55 million saved for something worth while. What's really surprising me is I never thought they'd be boring and they are and all this for 330 million ugh.

  2. DSL starting out strong.

    Rudick was on base FOUR times. Has a .449 OBP, far ahead of anyone else in that league - only 6 other guys in the Eastern League are .400+.

    My guess is he gets promoted right after the All Star Break.

    Peroza, too.

  3. Saw the Peroza home run. Outfielders just turned and looked it was such a blast. And that followed a foul ball on the same at-bat that was just as far. This guy looks locked in.
