The Daily Mets Minor League Update - July 1st

 Morning.

(Editor’s note - I find most of the information used in this daily report on Twitter. Well, their owner decided yesterday to change the policy and limit the amount  of entries each reader can scroll by. Not read. Just scroll by.

Therefore, the amount of info I share in this report will be limited each morning.

My apologies.)

f the season ended today, the Mets would have the 8th pick in the 2024 draft.

Matt Eddy (@MattEddyBA)

The Yankees and Mets have the lowest average team run context for full-season minor league affiliates through June.

The Athletics and D-backs have the highest TRCs.

What does that mean?

Runs are the most scarce in Yankees/Mets minor league games among all 30 organizations.

  1. I see that a couple of my Mets Twitter writers are already leaving Twitter

Seems Musk cares more about his business model than continuing the "Family Tradition:" On this site.

    Sad

    I expected more from him.

  2. Mauricio .193 with just 6 walks after May. Uh oh.

    1. Probably a little mentally deflated with both not being promoted to at least DH but also frustration with lack of progress at a new position

  3. Arauz is just 24, has 175 MLB career at bats (.200, 5 HRs), and hit .273/.396/.583 in Syracuse and a good SS/2B glove. I don’t mind seeing Ronny in Aug or Sept, and calling this guy up in July instead when Pham, Vogie go.

  5. That week off seemed to fix a Vogie he isn’t going anywhere.

  6. Tom,
I have been curious about Arauz myself. He seems to be steadily improving his average with the homers starting to follow. He could be someone who is now making a move to the majors.

  7. On Vogy it fixed him for a week still a bad trade and the fact he should have lost 100lbs not 20 over the winter if he was serious about his career. I find it hard to believe we actually won the same number of games last year as the Bravos and now we're light years apart and really have only making the WC as any real possibility for the next 5 years at least.
