Tom Brennan - Which Prospect That We Never Write About Do You Want Us To Write About?

A fair question.

After all, inquiring minds want to know.

So, if you’d like to hear about someone, ask.

If we don’t know, we’ll try to find out.

Just don’t ask us about Chico Escuela, OK? We know how he feels about baseball.

There may be some Live information on him on Saturday Night, but who really knows?

Spring games start Saturday, February 24. Bring it on.

It is vs. St Louis.

To pay St Louis back for Bob “Putin” Gibson’s devastating beaning of Tommie Agee to lead off the first spring game of 1968 on the spring’s  very first pitch, I think Austin Adams should open the game for the Mets and plunk the first Cardinals batter. What’s fair is fair.

I was so unbelievably psyched that the acquisition of Agee going into 1968 with Seaver and Koosman already on hand had the potential to drastically turn the extreme-losing Mets around.

After all, Agee had a tremendous 1966 and a solid 1967 with the White Sox. What a shot in the arm for the Mets’ offense and defense I expected Agee to be.

Instead, Vladimir Gibson almost killed Agee, and effectively killed Agee’s 1968 season. We saw the true Agee the following year in 1969, thankfully.

  1. Brandon Mcilvaine? I like him, just wish he had a higher average. Does everything else well.

  2. Jordanny Ventura, Jordan Geber, Luis Moreno and Cameron Foster.

If I had to choose one then make it Foster.

  3. Good morning Tom. I’ve mentioned him before, but William Lugo is my sleeper prospect of ‘24.

  4. JT,JT Schwartz! He’s overlooked and as much as I like Vientos in the end JT might be better.
