Mack - Draft Notes

                                                            Mack -  Draft Notes

(thru Friday’s results)

Peter Flaherty III @PeterGFlaherty

Braden Montgomery's 18th HR of the season either hit off—or went over—the train out in RF. Explosive hand speed, ultra-quick and tight turn with his hips. A lot to love when it comes to his operation. 1:1 "sleeper"

Joe Doyle @JoeDoyleMiLB

Don't sleep on George Mason OF Jordan Smith for the Draft. Running a .391/.496/.686 slash with 5 HR and 8 SB. Top-shelf exit velocities w/elite barrel rates too. There's more in the tank here. Real twitchy hips w/whippy, fast hands.

Can go get it a little bit in the field too.

Carlos Collazo @CarlosACollazo

Through 33 games Charlie Condon leads all DI hitters with 21 home runs—three more than Travis Bazzana and  Lyle Miller-Green who are tied at 2nd with 18.

He remains ahead of the pace of the last two HR leaders, Jac Caglianone (33 in 2023) and Ivan Melendez (31 in 2022).

        MLB Pipeline @MLBPipeline

Charlie Condon keeps crushing

The 2024 Draft prospect adds to his DI lead with his 22nd homer for UGA

                    Teddy Cahill @tedcahill

When Pete Incaviglia hit a Division I record 48 home runs in 1985, he averaged 0.65 home runs per game.

Charlie Condon this spring is averaging 0.647 home runs per game.

                    JJ Cooper @jjcoop36

Charlie Condon hit two more HRs last night. He's hitting .484/.588/1.133 with 23 HRs and .408/.532/.980 (8 HRs) in SEC play.

SL 79-80

Strong frame at 6'4" 235 with a fast, high 3/4 arm slot. Had some control issues early, but he was dominant when in the zone. A name to follow for next year for sure.

Have a day, Sammy Sass! The 5th year OF went 4-5 with 4 HRs and 6 RBIs. Now hitting .387 with 22 XBH (8 HRs). Extremely physical at 6'1" and 195-pounds. Strong swing with AA bat speed and AA power to pull side. Flashing plus B2B skills this year.

Do ya'll remember when Nick Kurtz was struggling and then he got injured? Since coming back, his average is up 67 points to .284 and he's homered six times in five games. Five games in a row.

He's back.

Two more freaking homers for Nick Kurtz today. Ain't none of these cheap.

That's:

10 HR in his last 6 games.

6 HR in his last 3 games

5 HR in his last 2 games.

Joe Doyle @JoeDoyleMiLB

I liked Nolan Souza a ton in the 2023 Draft. Probably too much. But he's made significant strength gains and he's staying way more connected through the baseball these days. Going to be a good one for a long time for the Hogs.

Ian Smith @IanSmittyGA

2025 CF/SS Maddox Monsour is a powder-keg on the diamond.

High-level power/speed combo w/ upside. Creates loud contact regularly working short-to-long, 101 EV here.

Flashed premier foot speed w/ a 3.97 bunt 1B ‼️
