QUESTION ONE:
Do you think the Mets are really getting up off the mat and starting another win streak, after Luis Severino’s masterful 4 hit complete game shutout?
QUESTION TWO:
The Mets minor teams got outscored by a combined 37-10 last night, with Vasil and Jarvis rocked, among others. And Syracuse was 60-35, but since then is 4-18.
37-10? Are the Mets minors really that bleak and thin on real talent?
1. I don't have much faith in this team. Arizona and San Diego are better. The Braves games that remain will determine the third wild card team
ReplyDelete2. The minor league teams are all limited with only limited talent. Then, the injuries. Still, a top 15 chain

Mack,
ReplyDeleteYour " blow-up" was good advice back in July. There is talent in the minors, but is young.
Clearly, I was bullish on the Mets prior to the Angels series. Expected them to go 9-4 before the 10 game stretch of killer games, but they managed to go just 6-7. So, I have gone to Mack’s view. The only chance they have is snatching the Braves’ WC spot. If Mauricio wasn’t hurt, he have been a major leaguer for much of 2024. But the absence of Gilbert, Jett and Reimer has had an impact. Even if none of those 3 had been hurt, the hitting is weak. Right now, all hitters on Binghamton are hitting .200 to .230s, except for Wyatt Young in the mid .270’s. Just NEVER do the amets seem to have minors hitting, except in a veteran laden AAA non-prospect lineup.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised. I said they would split the six game series.
ReplyDeleteThere are no position players that could make the 2025 team and hit better than what we already have.
ReplyDelete10 games with the Os Dbacks and Padres what do you think we go 3 and 6? It's probably just me but can anyone bunt anymore? Carlos should have the team out early for bunting practice and all our pitchers to teach them how to throw STRIKES....yeah right.
