Dom Smith, when drafted was young, svelte, full of promise.
Yes, the Mets could have hit better this weekend.
But, for one thing, Mr. Crochet was an absolute beast (albeit briefly) on Sunday. Steve Carlton?
Let’s trade for Crochet this off season.
Give the Mets credit. They needed 3 wins, they got 3 wins. Job done.
And the White Sox may be on their way to an unfathomable 125 losses.
The incoming Red Sox meanwhile are 3 runs over dead even for the season, 3 games over .500, and 3-7 in their last 10 games.
Meanwhile, the Mets lost just 3 of their last 10.
We swept the White Sox.
Can we sweep the Red Sox?
We can hope. We can…believe.
Let’s be rude to Dominic Smith’s Red Sox and sweep them.
One game behind the Braves, do these Mets find themselves.
Let’s scalp THEM this year for a change.
Wild Card or bust.
The Braves losing 2 of 3 to the Phillies this weekend helps the Mets’ pursuit of the Braves’ Wild Card spot. But they are still 8 behind the Follies.
The Mets have 7 left against the Follies. Is it folly to think the Mets could overtake the Braves AND Phillies and win the division? I think it is folly to think that it is folly.
Ya Gotta Believe.
Bring your kiddies, bring your broom.
ReplyDeleteTom,
ReplyDeleteWyatt Young has been moved to Syracuse. Looks like his progress has been noticed and rewarded.
Great news for Wyatt. Of course if Pablo Reyes gets cycled back to AAA, it may bump Wyatt down.
ReplyDeleteWyatt had that great stint in Syracuse in April 2022. He’s made it back. One huge stride to go. He has been red hot.
ReplyDeleteDom actually was released by the Red Sox, then signed and released by the Mets. Aaron Judge, drafted a handful of picks after Dom, is still with Yankees, last I checked.
