Simply, the Mets had no answers for a Dodgers offense that scored 46 runs in 6 games against a worn out Mets pitching staff that lacked Dedniel, Scott, and for all intents and purposes Senga.
But it was a remarkable Mets playoffs run. What were your favorite Mets postseason memories?
1. The Brewers homerun
ReplyDelete1a. The Lindor homerun in the 9th against the Braves.
2. Vientos two homerun game against the Phillies.
3. Castellanos crying and saying they aren’t better than us.
To be clear, it’s not the emotion that bothered me, it the lack of respect.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moments were the Winker warrior celebrations....the Vientos long balls galore....the repeated excellence of Lindor....and the timely bombs of Big Pete.
ReplyDeleteThe never give up attitude in both Philadelphia and Wisconsin. They fought like hell and continued to play excellent baseball. Give me a few weeks to unwind and I am ready for another season.
ReplyDeleteThey gave us all they had and we love them for it and it bodes well for the future AND GET SOTO!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Mets sure did, Gary. And…check out this game-winning HR at bat in the 10th inning of their game 5. You will want him more. https://www.mlb.com/yankees/video/all-calls-of-juan-soto-s-go-ahead-home-run-in-game-5?t=yankees-curtain-calls
