The nine-game winning streak is the Mets’ longest since July 2008, when they still were playing home games at Shea Stadium. The Mets are 11-3 for the first time since 1986 — the year they last won the World Series — and are tied with the Tigers and Royals for the best record in the majors."

The win put the Mets up 2.5 games ahead of the Braves who started off the 2015 season 5-0.
