Marlin Pitcher Jarred Cosart two hit the Mets over 8 shutout innings as the Fish took a 1-0 lead into the 9th.  Marlins brought in Steve Cishek to close it out and he gives up a 3-run homer to Daniel Murphy,  Carlos Torres (W,1-0) pitches to one batter in the 8th and ends up the winner.

Familia gets his 9th save - 60% of the Mets wins so far.

ESPN.com: Murphy's 3-run homer in 9th lifts Mets over Marlins 3-1: “Juan Lagares doubled to start the ninth when his long drive was misjudged by center fielder Marcell Ozuna, and Lucas Duda walked. Following a flyout, Murphy hit his second homer and raised a jubilant fist as the ball landed in the seats…Murphy and Gee both started slowly this season for New York. Murphy came into the game batting only .169, though he did have a pair of RBI doubles Sunday….Gee is winless in four starts, and came into the game with a 5.60 ERA. But the right-hander took a three-hit shutout into the eighth…Jeurys Familia pitched a perfect ninth for his major league-leading ninth save in as many chances, completing a six-hitter and breaking the team record for saves in April.”

Braves beat the Nationals 8-4 to stay 4.5 games behind the 1st place Mets.
