Tylor Megill will face 7 lefties today in the Rays’
lineup - the pitch to watch out for may be his elite curveball!
1.6” more
break than average RHP
5.1” more
drop than average RHP
0.2 more
MPH than average RHP
The curve
has been Megill’s least-used pitch overall this season (6.3% of the time; 8.8%
vs. lefties), but it’s been his best:
0.71 BA
(.174 xBA)
0.71 SLG
(.194 xSLG)
.106 wOBA
(.196 xwOBA)
83 MPH EV
-11 LA
Mack
– Things just aren’t going well for Tylor these days. His post 5/1 ERA is over
5.00. I’m just putting this out here… Megill pitches on the same rotation day
as… Nolan McLean.
Brett Baty’s 115.6 MPH home run against Drew
Rasmussen in the 3rd was a bit of a unicorn:
Hardest-hit
homer by a Met this season
homer
allowed by Rasmussen since May 11th
Baty’s 4th
homer vs. Tampa Bay (most vs. any team)
Mack – Baty seems to have two out of three things solved to become a legitimate major league starting player… hitting for power and playing credible defense. All he needs to do is work on his simply getting on base via hits to the field and, thus, raising his batting average.

With the 20th pick in the 2017 MLB draft, the New York Mets select David Peterson, a pitcher from the University of Oregon.

Peterson was an astute pick. Holliday family baseball DNA is incredible.
ReplyDeleteWith the pitching stepping back, time for Juan Soto to go on a superstar tear.
Happy Fathers day all.
ReplyDeleteDaughter and family taking me out for all you can eat 🍣
ReplyDeleteBetter be 🐟 there
Acuna. Starting,Mets win. Check out there record when he starts.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed, Mack.
ReplyDeleteAcuna is mediocre. 70 games in, just 6 RBIs. He has 23 runs scored, but how many of those as a pinch runner or designated runner? The White Sox and Rockies and Pirates start guys like him. They don’t win.
ReplyDeleteWe need better to win a pennant.
