Cal Raleigh is the best player I never heard of til this year. Doesn't get much press playing in Seattle I guess

Jon G, I wrote this back in Sept 2022, when we were all sure of Alvarez soon-coming superstardom:

Quick, while on the subject of catchers, which catcher has the most MLB HRs?

No, not Francisco Alvarez, nice try.

Cal Raleigh, Seattle.

Cal WHO???

I admit, I never heard of him. But he's got 23 HRs in 338 at bats.

OK, those definitely will be Francisco 2023 Mets numbers. You heard it here first.

You were on to him early. Still hope for Alvarez but I'm starting to have some doubts. He's still super young to be a MLB catcher
