Daniel Murphy homered in the 1st and Ruben Tejada singled in Lucas Duda in the 2nd as the Mets took a 2-0 lead. 

NY Post: Mets end dreadful homestand with another loss to lowly Braves. "Bartolo Colon started with a flourish. It wasn’t until Jace Peterson hit a slow roller with two outs in the fifth that the Braves had a base runner and Colon still looked strong going into the seventh. But three singles later, Colon was gone and the bases were loaded with one out for reliever Addison Reed. Reed gave up an RBI single to Michael Bourn and then a pinch-hit, two-run double to Freeman for a 3-2 Braves lead."

ESPN.com: Freeman drives in 5 runs off bench, Braves stun Mets 6-3. "Freeman broke a ninth-inning tie with a three-run homer after driving in two as a pinch hitter in the seventh, and Atlanta stunned the Mets 6-3 Wednesday night in the finale of New York's rough homestand."

Mets stayed 6.5 games ahead of the Nationals as they lost 4-3 to the Orioles.
