Scott Boras' complaints against Matt Harvey's workload after his Tommy John surgery resulted in the Mets limiting his innings against the Yanks in the 2015 Subway Series finale. After Harvey went 5 scoreless and left with a 1-0 lead, the Yanks get 5 runs off Hansel Robles with help from errors by Daniel Murphy (throw) and David Wright (catch) - Carlos Beltran a 2-run double and Dustin Ackley a 3-run homer.
Yankees add another off Eric O'Flaherty in the 7th and 5 more against Carlos Torres and Tim Stauffer in the 8th.
NY Post: Harvey departs, nightmare begins as Yanks trounce Mets. "The Mets’ magic number to clinch the NL East remains stuck at eight, and the Nationals have suddenly crept within six games of the division lead...It was a rebound performance by Harvey, who matched a career high by allowing seven earned runs in a no-decision at Washington on Sept. 8, only days after he created a firestorm with his public non-commitment to pitching in the postseason should the Mets get there. A day later Harvey wrote on the Players’ Tribune website that he would pitch in the postseason."
