Tough transition for me
ReplyDeleteGot to know Jeff when he played for Savannah. Still have cell in my Android
Interviewed and started writing about Jett when he was a sophomore in HS. Still follows me on X
Root hard for him to shake off the AAA rust. This is a pure bat talent that also holds his own on second. Can step in at short, his natural position, if Lindor goes down
I would try and trade McNiel this offseason even if you have to eat some money.
ReplyDeleteGive Jett 2nd base and Benge CF right from the beginning of the season. Mack I know you will say no but I want as many rookies up next year so we can gain an extra 1st round pick next year if one wins ROY.
I would sign Ranger Suarez, Bellinger, Edwin Diaz, Framber Valdez and Devin Williams.
Try and also trade with money Manaea and Senga.
I'd keep Jeff as a super utility guy.
ReplyDeleteJett, I would look to work into the line up as soon as opening day and around Memorial Day at the latest. Jeff is still good and I wish him the best here or elsewhere. Reminder: the PITCHING COLLAPSE caused this team to miss the playoffs. The hitters were not perfect, but they did fine.
ReplyDeleteJett will be playing in his age 22 season in 2026 while Jeff will be 34. He will have to show he belongs but he's a pure lead off hitter which the team needs
