I follow on X a Mets International guru that supplies to me
all the good stuff about what’s going on in the DSL league. He’s been touting
this year’s group of kids that was signed to play the 2026 season and something
that’s going to really make us happy. Well, I know the sample is microscopic
but frankly, I have never see this kind of ‘start of a season’ before from Mets
DSL bats.
Write these names down. There might be three to four future
stars here:

As I noted in my own column’s comments this AM, bonus baby Cleiner Ramirez cracked 2 home runs yesterday…but the opposing pitchers gave up more than two dozen base runners, in a game with 29 walks, so I would not go crazy over his output for the one game. But happy to see it.
ReplyDeleteMay they roll out some real future major leaguers this year.
And as I mentioned in your column at 6am, this one should be a real one
ReplyDeleteBig day in the Mack household.
56th wedding anniversary
Congratulations to you both!!
DeleteThanks Paul
DeleteWhite table cloth four course early din din coming soon
Big day. Congratulations!!!
DeleteCongratulations! And many more!
DeleteGreat news, but premature joy. At 15 at-bats, one hit can swing the average by 66 points. Blooper versus lineout is in play.
ReplyDeleteSad part no signs of a decent starter yet
DeleteHard to project 16 year old arms
Hey, happy anniversary to you and Mrs Mack. You’ve tied DiMaggio’s 56 streak. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom
DeleteJoke of the day
Gotta go take my new med prescribed by my urologist
50mg mydixiphlopin
LOLLLLL
DeleteNot the drug of choice. I think Mets hitters are on 100 mg.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary. Before you know it you will catch me at 63.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Ray! Wish y’all many more years of happiness.
DeleteHey Mack we had our 56th in April so congrats to u and the misses!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Gary! Wish y’all many more years of happiness.
DeleteMan you guys are OLD. I just turned 30, so I can’t relate.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary Mack
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best
Could you define the red blue delineation for your prospects?
I alway struggle with if it’s A or B or C prospect in your eyes
BLUE show potential to become MAJOR league staples
DeleteRED project as future starters
My wife and I made it to 55 in March. She reports that this has been five of the happiest years of her life :-)
ReplyDeleteAt 11 yrs old I am certain I was a 1st round Pony League prospect as a pitcher. By the time I was a sophomore in College I was likely a first round prospect for a life as an academic, preferably at a school without sports teams
