The Mets and Clear Channel Media and Entertainment have agreed to a deal that would bring the Mets radio broadcasts to WOR 710 A.M., according to multiple reports. This deal comes 6 weeks after the team and their radio partner WFAN (660 A.M. And 101.9 F.M.) decided to end their partnership lasting 27 years since the team's inception.The team is likely to retain current play-by-play man Howie Rose, while color-commentator Josh Lewin's job is slightly less secure.
Reports are also circulating that the Mets will be simulcast on one of Clear Channel's many FM-stations, which are Z100 (100.3), LITE-FM (106.7), KTU (103.5) Q104.3 (104.3) and POWER (105.1)
WOR 710 AM is a 50,000 watt station, similar to that of WFAN, but WOR broadcasts to different areas than that of WFAN.
Very glad to hear about the FM simulcast. Haven't read that anywhere else. Was getting spoiled with the WFAN FM station.
