Ken Davidoff NY Post: Why Mets shouldn’t rush into Francisco Lindor contract extension. “Allowing Lindor to play through on his walk year would enable both sides to develop a greater comfort for each other, or not, before taking the plunge. If it works out as well as hoped, then Lindor can rest assured that his new boss will take care of him with a ginormous contract.”

  1. McNeil, Nimmo, and McCann - 3 understandable early birds - all hungry

  2. There are some interesting post season odds on that chart.

I am not sure how much the rest of you guys like to follow the other teams and divisions, but I try to at least look at them. I'll do a similar prediction for all teams a bit later on in the spring.

My knee-jerk reaction has the Yankees a bit too high, the Blue Jays too low, the Tigers and Mariners too low, and the NL Central is a crapshoot .. still working on that. I agree with the top heavy NL West. The fight is for third place.

  3. Remember 1969, you should come up with your own projections for an upcoming article (or articles).

  4. Could be, give me about a month to get into spring training.

Preview note: Unfortunately, I cannot be any kinder to the Orioles fans :-(

  6. What's the story with Nogosek, and why is Ernest Dove so high on him?

  7. Nogo has pitched well and deserves a chace, probably 2022

    1. Makes sense, but Ernest went way beyond that expectation, and seems to feel this will be a real breakout year.

  8. Bill - Nogosek seemed about to breakout in 2019 but did not fair well in Flushing after posting a 0.00 ERA in Syracuse. Maybe this year he breaks through.
