RP Nathan Hall/FCL
Mets – The 22/yr. old, 6-3 righty was the Mets 6th round draft pick
last year, out of Central Missouri. Had a season-ending elbow injury early on
last year that shut him down for the season. Had UCL/internal brace (ouch)
surgery. His first professional appearance was this bast Thursday –
6-18 – 1-IP, 0-H, 0-R, 0-BB,
K, 0.00
RP Randy Guzman/DSL
Mets – This is not the Randy Guzman that plays first base and outfield in
Florida for the St. Lucie Mets. No, this is the Randy Guzman that pitches for
the DSL Mets, who went 4.2IP, 2-H, 0-R, 0-BB, 7-K in his last outing. The
18/yr. old’s overall season stats after this game were 12-1-IP, 2-H, still 0-R,
2-BB, 15-K, 0.00, 0.81. Where does he go from here? We’ll keep an eye on him.
SUMMATON
To be honest, I can’t find a DOMINANT BAT at any level above
rookie.
To be honest, I can’t find a DOMINANT pitcher above rookie.
To be honest, I can’t find a DOMINANT bat or pitching coach above
rookie.
I never intended on this weekly report to be this dismal,
but, at this point in the season, it is.

Has anyone heard anything about Wandy Asigen?
ReplyDeleteHave y’all noticed that Jeremy Rodriguez - who was played everyday despite his lack of results - is now doing well?
I think this whole collapse this year has to do with the two individuals put in charge of organizational hitting and pitching. These players all didn’t just suck.
Thornton is pitching Friday night against the Phillies. I’m scared.
Not a word on Asigen
DeleteRegarding J-Rod, couldn't do worse, right?
DeleteEvery player can't be doing things a certain way... and sucking... and not someone know about it
DeleteLots of suck there.
ReplyDeleteMorabito finally hot…lots of hits and walks lately.
DSL stats need to be GREAT all year. WHY. Bad pitching. Average team ERA is 6.00. Tons of unearned runs.
Greed is good
DeleteIs suck good too
With Semien going on the IL, Mauricio isn't the only option there. Move Ewing and call up Maury
DeleteIt just goes to show you how bad our DSL bats were for years
DeleteTwo years ago, the median ERA in the DSL was a full run lower. It is a hitters paradise this year. So, stats for hitters are likely inflated.
DeleteMack, Ewing has been trumpeted as the best CF in the system. And that non catch of Woods fly ball at the wall that clanked off Morabito’s glove for an inside the park grand slam didn’t show well.
DeleteCan Morabito PLEASE replace Melendez please!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was a double please
Deleteand Mack great job and remember we have to still be around when Pena is brought up and lights it up!!
ReplyDeleteI think Pena is playing up to his age and not the uber-star he was projected to be
DeleteOh yeah also the kid we got from the Cubbies stats were put up last night and it was .279 in 39 games with 39 rbi and .797 ops is that possible? Thats amazing I don't care what level it is.
ReplyDeleteHe is in High A. Maybe he and Clifford can switch places. I know, I should lighten up on Clifford. I will when he strikes out less than once per game.
DeleteFor a rental
