TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the third game of a four-game series from Victory Field (7:00 p.m.). The Herd is still looking to get on the board in the series as Indy won the first two games, 9-2 and 8-5. This marks only the third time all year the Bisons have lost back-to-back games. Buffalo is now 6-8 on the road, while Indianapolis has a 5-5 record at Victory Field.

HARD HITTING HESS: INF MIKE HESSMAN is back on top as the International League’s top run producer. Hessman clubbed a two-run home run and had a sac fly last night to give him 32RBI on the season. That puts home one RBI ahead of Columbus OF SHELLY DUNCAN. Hessman is also tied for the IL lead with nine home runs and is second with a .634 slugging percentage.

C.C. STREAKIN: OF CHRIS CARTER doubled in three at-bats last night to extend his hit streak to eight games. Since April 28, the outfielder has averaged .438 (14-32) with three homers, eight RBI and six runs scored. Carter .337 average on the season is 9th in the International League. He is also fourth in the IL with a .604 slugging percentage.
HOT TEJADA: INF RUBEN TEJADA has hit in four straight games and in 13 of his last 17 contests. Since April 20, the 20-year old has averaged .328 (20-61) with three doubles, a home run, five RBI and 10 runs scored. On top of the solid work at the plate, Tejada has made just two errors in 110 chances at shortstop. His .982 fielding percentage is tied with Rochester’s TREVOR PLOUFFE for the best in the International League.

BISONS BITS: RHP BOBBY PARNELL has allowed runs in only two of his 10 outings with the Bisons...OF JASON PRIDIE has had 115 at-bats this year, two behind Toledo’s BRENT DLUGACH for the most in the IL...OF JESUS FELICIANO is second in the International League with a .361 batting average. He led the IL with 154 hits last season...No one in the IL has been hit by a pitch more than OF FERNANDO MARTINEZ. The Bisons outfield has been plunked six times already in 2010.
