Top 150 Prospects for the 2011 Draft - http://www.mlbbonusbaby.com/ -
1 Anthony Rendon , 3B , Rice : Rendon has all the skills to be a great MLB 3B. Great power, good defense, strong arm. Easily the best prospect in the 2011 draft. Could be a top-tier 3B in the years to come.
2 Matt Purke , LHP , Texas Christian : Purke has a fastball that can reach the mid 90's and a nasty slider that are both plus pitches now. He has good command and poise. A future ace.
3 Gerrit Cole , RHP , UCLA : Cole has a great arm and can run it up to 98. He has a sharp curve and has a workhorse build. His only drawback is his command.
4 Sonny Gray , RHP , Vanderbilt : Gray has front of the rotation stuff, but is a short righthander. I don't care because he has the stuff and attitude to succeed and he could do it quickly after he is signed.
5 Daniel Norris , LHP , Science Hill HS, Johnson City, Tenn. : Norris has a 92-96 MPH FB with a plus CB and a good change for a HS pitcher, especially a lefty. He has room to get better and he needs polish.
Brad Miller – 11-22-10 from: - http://www.collegebaseballdaily.com/2010/11/22/brad-miller-clemson-top-100-countdown/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+CollegeBaseballDaily+%28College+Baseball+Daily%29&utm_content=Twitter - As a freshman in 2009, he started all 66 games he appeared in hitting for a .273 average while hitting three homers and driving in 36 runs. He was disciplined at the plate as he walked 53 times to have an on-base percentage of .405. He spent the summer of 2009 with the USA Collegiate National Team where he accumulated a .255 average with 13 runs, eight RBIs, 16 walks, a .417 on-base percentage, and eight steals in 23 games. As a sophomore in 2010, Miller ended up leading the team in hitting when he hit .357 with eight homers and 49 RBI. He also was able to pick up nine stolen bases in 11 attempts. He again spent the summer with the USA Collegiate National Team as he appeared in 14 games (seven starts) as he led the team with a .447 batting average with a homer and six RBI
Jose Fernandez: - 11-22-10 from: - http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/high-school/?p=363 - Righthander Jose Fernandez from Alonso High in Tampa, who was ruled ineligible for his senior season earlier this year, has been granted a fifth year of eligibility by the Florida High School Athletic Association if he can provide documentation to prove that his lost year was due to the move from Cuba. The FHSAA board voted 11-4 in favor of granting Fernandez an extra year. While there is no timetable in place for when a final determination will be made, it seems like more of a formality after the vote. Fernandez recently ranked No. 11 on Baseball America's High School Top 100 Prospect list.
Chas Crane: - 11-22-10 from: - http://www.collegesummerbaseball.net/2010/11/top-performers-from-2010-chas-crane.html - My next Top Performer from the 2010 summer season is Chas Crane of the Peninsual Pilots. Chas is a Junior, switch-hitting 3b/of from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Chas is 6-0/200 pounds and hails from Bridgewater, NJ. He attended Immaculata High School, where he was an All-Conference, All-County and All-Area baseball player. This past regular season at Winthrop, Chas hit .337 with 14 home runs and 45 runs batted in. He has turned into a definite power hitter for the Eagles.

61. TANNER POPPE, rhp, Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (Kansas/SO in 2011)Very projectable frame/arm, but inexperience on mound evident (3-1, 4.01, 34 IP, 25 BB); + sink on FB, struggles to throw strikes
62. KC SERNA, ss, Falmouth Commodores (Oregon/JR in 2011) Needs to show it on more consistent basis, but flashes big arm, makes all plays at SS; quick bat, takes quality at-bats (.250-0-16)
63. COHL WALLA, of, Brewster White Caps (Texas/SO in 2011) D/E SO could blossom in 2011; has short swing, pull-power potential, needs to refine plate approach; solid CF skills, 90-mph arm
64. KYLE McMILLEN, rhp/of, Cotuit Kettleers (Kent State/JR in 2011) Limited success at plate (.083), on mound (1-3, 5.87), but worth watching; loose arm, FB regularly at 93-94; takes big-league BP
65. MIKE ANDRIESE, rhp, Cotuit Kettleers (UC Riverside/JR in 2011) Saved best for playoffs (2-0, 0.00) after 1-2, 3.52 season; FB topped at 94, got + sink on 2-seamer; other pitches need work/polish
66. BARRETT BARNES, of/1b, Falmouth Commodores (Texas Tech/SO in 2011) Still a work in progress in all phases, but athletic/versatile, made strides at plate, in field; became more complete hitter (.223-3-24)

70. CECIL TANNER, rhp, Falmouth Commodores (Georgia/JR in 2011) Intimidating size (6-6, 240), big fastball (95-98), flashes sharp CU, but struggles with command, mechanics (23 IP, 26 BB/17 SO)

Jason Esposito: - 11-11-10 from: - http://xmlbscout.angelfire.com/ - #13 - 3B-SS Jason Esposito Vanderbilt 6'1 195 R/R - gamer with tools, comps to Ryan Zimmerman, Jason has improved his quickness and first step moves to field either side of his glove since HS in Connecticut (Amity HS) and runs better out of the box, 4.3 from right side which is solid ave, runs alot better between bases and enough quickness to steal 15-20 bases in ML. Throwing arm is solid and has the offensive potential to hit 20-25 HR drive in 80 plus runs and hit close to 300 with good eye hand coordination and pitch discipline, will be over aggressive at times, but that is natural for most hitters. Will be in the bigs quicker than Tony Graffanino was years back.
11-8-10 from: - http://diamondscapescouting.com/rankings_usacnttop15_09082010.html -
3b - Vanderbilt (Jr.) - Esposito was a late addition, coming aboard after Rendon was lost for the season. The Vandy third baseman is a rare fringe-5-tool talent at the hot corner, showing potential across the board. He is a force with metal, though his ability to square with wood is hindered some by his current swing, which can get a little hitchy and holey. Esposito could profile at any number of positions as a pro, and it would not be a surprise to see him settle into the outfield -- particularly if there are any questions about his bat translating. He will be on of many 'Dores followed closely this upcoming spring and with a strong showing could force his way into the first round -- no small accomplishment given the depth of the draft class on the whole.
Blake Swihart:- 11-11-10 from: - http://xmlbscout.angelfire.com/ - #15 - C Blake Swihart Cleveland HS, Rio Rancho NM, 6'0 1/2 175 S/R - reminds me of the days Todd Hundley was a young catcher in the ML for the Mets, very quick bat and quick release as a receiver with plus arm strength and know how, range is good, will stab on occ at pitches due to unfamiliarity of pitchers in showcase circuit, but all the qualities are there for a young man who could advance up the system in 3-4 years to the show and hit enough to contribute in driving in runs from the 6 hole position in a lineup and hit 10-15 HR in pro ball.
Travis Harrison:- 11-11-10 from: - http://xmlbscout.angelfire.com/ - #17 - OF-1B Travis Harrison Tustin HS, California 6'2 220 R/R - quality power hitter with strength in his bat with very good bat speed, tends to arm swing on pitches up in zone but can hit them with authority which means he's a beast as far as strength goes, will occ chase pitches off-speed and out of zone, but will hurt your fb especially if it's down the middle. Better on the way runner, showed 6.7, 60 type speed, but 4.45 and 4.5 out of box as RHH, arm strength is there to play either corner OF or IF position, fielding mechanics are rough but playable. Eventually a 1B guy for sure. 25 HR 280 hitter with 15-20 sb's and 90 rbi's guy?! It's all there!
