Continuing our prospect slotting…

107. 2B/SS Justin Schafer – 22-yrs old – Schafer is a middle infielders who had a great season in 2010 with Kingsport (.333/.393/.444/.837). He finished the season with Brooklyn, which should exactly where he starts off in 2011.

2011: Brooklyn

108. 3B Brian Harrison – 22-yrs. old - Harrison is a local boy of mine, out of Hilton Head Island High School. He played extremely well for Brooklyn last season (.286/.352/.548/.900), which included 7-HRs in 126-AB. He “came home” to finish the season in Savannah, where he will fight for field time with Aderlin Rodriquez in 2011.

109. RP Wes Wrenn – 25-yrs. old - We’ve talked earlier about lower level relief pitchers and, frankly, the best thing you can do with someone that does well at one level, is to move them along and see if they can hold up. Such is the case of Wrenn, who spot started and relieved in Brooklyn (5-5, 3.61) last season. He’ll be in the St. Lucie pen in 2011.

110. RP Josh Edgin – 24-yrs. old - It’s not a coincidence that a lot of relief pitchers fill up the lower portion of any team’s prospect list. They simply don’t make a lot of headlines early on in their career, especially when all us writers are looking at the bonus babies either with a bat in their hand or starting the game off on the mound. Edgin had an all-star season for Kingsport (0-1, 2.84, 18-G, 41-K, 31.2-IP) in 2010 and should jump Brooklyn and go right to Savannah in 2011.

111. RP Richard Pena – 23-yrs. old – Pena signed on with the Mets in 2004 and was converted to a relief pitcher two seasons ago. In 2010, he went 0-1, 3.66, 20-G for Kingsport and finished the season with Lucy. He should return their in the spring
