Valentino Pascucci added a pair of RBI on a single that extended his hit streak to 11 games. Buffalo has now won seven of their last 10 games to improve to 12-10 on the season.
Friday's series opener was decided in the first four innings of the contest. Buffalo cashed in of some early base runners while Rochester couldn't take advantage of control issues from Bisons starter Jeurys Familia.
Familia walked a season-high seven batters in three-innings plus, but the Bisons found themselves down only 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning. Bobby Scales tied the game when he doubled home May and Pascucci followed with a two-run single to right field.
An inning later, May busted the game wide open with a laser three-run homer to left field. It was May's second home run in as many games and third on the season.
The Bisons' pen took over from there. Jack Egbert (1-2) got the win with three scoreless. Chuck James worked the seventh and Justin Hampson pitched the final two frames for his second save of the season.
Omar Quintanilla added a solo home run in the eighth to give the Bisons a 7-3 win.
Rochester's bullpen had to do heavy lifting on Friday as Wings' starter Samuel Deduno left the game after six pitches (all balls) with an apparent injury.
BISONS NOTES: Chuck James allowed a run for the first time this season. The southpaw worked the seventh inning and gave up a tally on two hits. He had made seven scoreless appearances to begin the season...Andres Torres joined the Bisons on Friday as part of his MLB injury rehabilitation assignment. He played all nine innings at centerfield and went 0-4 with a walk and a stolen base.
