After Erik Goeddell pitched a stellar inning, allowing only a walk and striking out 3, Darrin Gorski (W, 2-0) relieved him:  5.0 IP, 2 R, 5 H, 0 BB, 3 K, to get the win.

John Church, (0 H, 0 BB, K) Pedro Feliciano (1 H, 0 BB, K) and Jeff Walters (S, 21) (0 H, 0 BB, K) each pitched a scoreless inning to finish off the Curve.

Danny Muno: 3-3, 2B, BB, 2 RBI.

Blake Forsythe: 1-4, HR, RBI, R.

All three Sand Gnats pitchers, Gabriel Ynoa,  (L, 9-3) (6.2 IP, 4 R, 7 H, (HR) 2 BB, 6 K) Julian Hilario (1.1 IP, 2 R, 3 H, (HR) 1 BB, 1 K) and Wanel Mesa (1.0 IP, 3 R, 2 H, (HR) 1 BB, 2 K) were pummeled without mercy by the Crawdads.

You can’t pitch much better that Mets starter Scarlin Reyes (L, 0-2) 6.0 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 3 BB, 2 K. and still get a loss.

Miguel Leal, the Mets best hitter, currently batting .318, got the Mets only hit.

DSL Pirates (14-12) edge DSL Mets2 (15-12) 6-5 in rain shortened game.

Neither Mets pitcher, Wimbert Martinez (1.2 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 H, 3 BB) nor Jhonaiker Rodriguez (L, 1-2) (3.1 IP, 2 R, 2 H, 0 BB) fared well against the Pirates.
