Hey Mack...unrelated to Orioles, since Dice K solidified his case today, and Black struggled, again, why not put Jennry in pen as long man and send Vic down for a while? It would also solve the "let's limit Jennry's innings" issue,by tossing him fewer innings in relief, and Jennry could return to rotation if need be (e.g. If Niese hurt). Personally, I'd still like to see Jennry start - his stuff is that good.
ReplyDeleteThe next time you make Mejia a relief pitcher will be the last time...
ReplyDeleteRight now, the chances of a 5-man rotation making mid-season without an injury is rare.
No, send Mejia to Las Vegas and let him start. Also, let him prove he can stay healthy. It doesn't matter where he gets his 200 innings. If he does, and stats out with an ERA combined under 4.00, he will be major trade bait when Syndergaard and Montero are ready
