Paul Sewald: 1.0 IP, perfect, 2 K.
Gilbert Gomez replaced Brandon Nimmo and went 2-2.
Savannah (33-15) @ Augusta (24-26) postponed - wet grounds .
Hopefully, Nimmo not injured - otherwise, why replace him?
ReplyDeleteTime for Fulmer to kick it into a higher gear. I assume a lot of it has been rust. He has had 9 games this year - 2 of the first 3 were horrific, and one other bad game. Otherwise he's been good, and only 14 walks in 46 innings so last nite was likely an aberration.
I want to see a dominating June out of Michael. Show why he has been ranked so highly in this organization.
Posted earlier - is Plawecki ready? Some hitters struggle every inch of the climb - he isn't. He is just killing it in May.
@Tom
ReplyDeleteNimmo sprained his ankle last night. Plawecki may end up staying the whole year in AA because of the fact that the team will not want to take AB's away from Centeno when he gets sent back down to AAA.
However that being said, Den Dekker's recent promotion allows Kirk to move to CF, Puello to play everyday in LF and Brown in RF leaving the DH spot open.
Plawecki could be promoted to fill that spot, however once EYJ is healthy again you run right back into the same problem.
Who's the kid Paul Sewald? Just looked at his stats and he's put up nothing but great numbers. Too many BBs this year but the K ratio is pretty solid.

ReplyDeleteJust a good solid reliever - lives in the high 80s -
With Gorski and Church getting promoted, a promotional opening can't be too far off for Akeel the Deal Morris. Sadly, it is a bit too late for him to make the Mets in time for an All Star team selection, thru no fault of his own of course, so I will reluctantly settle for a quick promotion to St Lucie.
ReplyDeleteHey Mack, kidding aside, after many years, I found a bunch of old baseball cards from the 60's. Seaver rookie card and other good ones I kept but misplaced. None brand new condition but all at least good condition. You or anyone have suggestions on how to sell them?

ReplyDeleteI assume that Ebay would still be a good place to first look with the cards.
