  1. A collective honorable mention to the hitters - when 13 guys get 3 hits and 2 get 4 hits, whoo hoo! I'd have had Plawecki co-star with Thor - 4 for 4 with 2 HRs is hugely impressive. The opposing pitchers must've gotten vertigo looking up and seeing the balls flying out!

  2. Is there any legitimate reason that Conforto is still in Brooklyn?

The Cyclones are not going to catch the Hudson Valley team so send Michael to Savannah and go get us another SAL championship.

  3. I would agree on Conforto, he is not too young to push and has recently played above league level. Any successful head start could help his timeline to move next year.

  4. The Cyclones hold the wild card place at the moment. So I guess that is the reason why Conforto is still in Brooklyn.

  5. In all honesty, Savannah has some excellent pitching, but very little by way of hitting. I've been very surprised how well they've been doing. It looks like rigors of a long full season have caught up to some of the guys. They really could use Conforto in the middle of that lineup hitting after D Smith, who appears to be getting tired also. His avg was cracking .300 a few weeks ago, but down in the.275 area at last check.

  6. @Anonymous

Good Point on the Wild Card.

I had forgotten that the NY-Penn League uses it.

    I recant my statement

  7. Erik Manoah was on cruise control and dominating through five innings. Giving up only one hit with 9ks for the Gulf Coast league Mets. I watch this kid pitch in high school throughout the season and all the All-Star games he participated in. when he's on he's un-hittable. Great determination, great work ethics, great pick up for the Mets. Can't wait to see how he does at the next level.

  8. - Plawecki is really increasing his trade value.

    - I think Conforto starts 2015 at St. Lucie regardless

  9. Closer -

The heat index in Savannah averages around 100-102... FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS...

    these kids are worn out

  10. Michael -

The only time Plawecki's bat was off was when he was suffering from vertigo

His bat is major league ready.
