LAST GAME: The B-Mets were outslugged by the Fisher Cats, 10-5, once again Saturday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The B-Mets allowed a season-high 20 hits, while striking out a season-high 12 times offensively. Luis Cessa surrendered four runs and 11 hits in five innings. The bullpen then combined to allow six more runs over three innings of work.Jared King, Brandon Nimmo and Eudy Pina all registered multiple hits for Binghamton. The B-Mets have lost the first three games of the series.

BINGHAMTON STARTERRHP John Gant makes his third start of the season. He’s coming off a loss last time out, allowing two earned runs in 5.2 innings pitched against Harrisburg. Opponents are hitting .333 against Gant, who has lasted a total of 9.1 innings through his first two starts. It’s the righties first season in the EL after going 11-5 with a 2.56 ERA with Savannah (Low-A) last season. The 22 year-old was drafted by the Mets in the 21st round of the 2011 draft, out of Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley
Chapel, Florida.

NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTER: RHP Taylor Cole makes his fourth start of the season. He is coming off a loss last time out as well, allowing four runs and 10 hits in 5.2 innings pitched against Trenton. Cole surrendered three runs in five innings in his lone start of the year at Northeast Delta
Dental Stadium. Opponents are hitting .356 against the starter, which includes righties hitting at a .412 clip. Cole went 0-2 with a 7.30 ERA in two starts with New Hampshire last season. He allowed 11 total runs in 12.1 innings pitched. Cole was drafted twice before being selected by Toronto in the 29th round of the 2011 draft out of Brigham Young University.

LAST TIME: The B-Mets were last swept in a four game series by Richmond in the last series of the 2014 regular season (August 29-September 1). That series was also on the road, as Binghamton was outscored 22-11 in the four game set. They were the last four losses of a six game losing streak for the B-Mets.

HOME SWEET HOME: The B-Mets have been much more successful at home, where they have hit .315 and scored 33 runs in six games. In addition, the B-Mets pitching staff has a 4.50 ERA at NYSEG Stadium. On the road, the B-Mets are hitting .255 with 37 runs scored in 10 games. The B-Mets pitching staff has thrown to a 5.47 ERA away from home.

FOREVER YOUNG: Brandon Nimmo has played, and hit second, in all 16 games this season. The outfielder is one of 14 players in the EL to play in every game so far this year.

IN A NEW YORK MINUTE: The Fisher Cats have raised their team batting average 17 points during this four game series. Meanwhile, Binghamton’s ERA has increased by nearly a full run (0.77) in the first three games of the series. New Hampshire now leads the league in four different team offensive categories, after slugging 34 hits over the last two games.

DOUBLE-DIGITS: The B-Mets have allowed double-digit runs in back-to-back games for the first time since June 19-21, 2011 when they also allowed 10 runs in consecutive games, losing both. The first was to Trenton and the latter against Akron.

BEGINNERS LUCK: Jairo Perez has recorded a hit in all six games with the B-Mets this season. He’s on a 12 game hitting streak dating back to last season.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME: Binghamton has now lost five straight road games, being outscored 32-16.
