  1. 48th overall prospect according to Baseball America, who believe he's an everyday player and can stay in CF. Trading him could be a huge mistake. Glad to see him bumped up, Cecchini shouldn't be far behind.

  2. Jayce Boyd, Darrell Ceciliani, Cory Vaughn, Kyle Johnson, and Travis Taijeron are already OFs there. That is 5. Is someone leaving so Nimmo can play every day?

  3. Nimmo plays everyday regardless of those 5 guys. Not one of them is a serious ML prospect, IMO.

  4. I see Johnson has been DL'd for a while, and Cory V getting a lot of playing time but just not doing much. I guess he gets benched. Won't be Taijeron, who has 13 walks and 9 hits in last 10 games (.412 OBP). Nor Ceciliani (5-9 in his first 2 games back).

Boyd mostly pinch hitting of late. Maybe getting him ready to pinch hit in Sept in a Mets pennant race?

So I guess the starting OF is Ceciliani, Nimmo, Taijeron. Heck of an OF for AAA.

  6. Or he gets traded to a west coast team that scouts him out there for a game or two ;)

  7. Tom - at least there is one prospect in that out field - until Taijeron gets his k-rate down to 25% or less he is nothing more than. A AAAA masher - a new Val Pasucci

  8. I have been waiting for Nimmo to show some pop for a while now. He's a big dude that hits a lot of singles

    1. I think his pop will mature somewhat like Alex Gordon's.

  9. I think the FO is thinking of trading him because he may be at a peak value - there is a chance he plateaus and peaks as a 4th OFer - I hope not, but there is a fair chance he has stalled

    1. Don't minimize the impact his injury could've had on him this year.

  10. I disagree that Nimmos value has peaked. After he hits .350 at Vegas his value will only increase . Would love to finally see some power out of him.

Not having a go at you, but what makes you think that? Curious....
