Tom Brennan - INJURY UPDATE - WRIGHT AND RIVERA
Don't spit out your morning Joe while reading this:
FROM NY METS WEBSITE:
Unable to recover from the shoulder weakness that has sidelined him since Spring Training, David Wright has elected surgery to repair his right rotator cuff, the team announced.
Wright will undergo the operation Tuesday in New York, ending any chance he had at a comeback this season.
The Mets also announced that infielder T.J. Rivera will undergo Tommy John surgery to repair a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. Rivera had been attempting to rehab the injury in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
No surprise with David but valuable time wasted with TJ as I heard it's 6 months for TJS with non-pitchers. I just hope David recovers and probably try's again in the spring and then he's got to move on for pride's sake.
ReplyDeleteHarvey will be joining them soon.......really, Terry? Starting him on three days rest after his lengthy DL stint and rehab? More proof of who is running the asylum.
