ReplyDeleteNido's hitting has fallen off the cliff since the calendar turned to August. 28 for 157 (.178), including his 3 for 10 Mets cameo.
ReplyDeletePlawecki and d'arnaud look better and better by the day.
I had stated in my pre-(winter)season preview that Nido needed a strong AFL performance in order to give himself a chance to crack a spot in this (surprisingly) effective catcher rotation.......he has done the opposite of that so far this fall.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of K rate vs some of the better young talent in the MiLB is a major cause for concern.
I keep having this recurring nightmare that their first FA acquisition will be Rene Rivera.
ReplyDeleteChris, I agree. His bat concerns me too.
ReplyDeleteReese, not to worry, Anthony Recker is available instead.
Choo Choo... no... wait...
