First. About
last night’s Mets loss.
I thought
Mickey pulled Matz too early. He was on a roll, was not suffering from cramps,
and, after a choppy start, had the Braves stymied on every pitch. You could
easily have sent him out, have Lugo warm in the pen, and be ready if any signs
of weakening happened in the 7
th inning.
Does a
great manager do this in a playoff game?
AA-Binghamton
transferred SP Jason Krizan to AAA-Syracuse
AA-Binghamton
activated C Justin Houle
AAA-Syracuse
2B Ruben Tejada was selected by the NY Mets
NY Mets
option P Chris Mazza to AAA-Syracuse
Kudos –
AAA-Syracuse
– SP Corey Oswalt: 5-IP, 0-R, 3-K
Guess Corey is off the IL now.
AA-Binghamton – SP David Peterson: 5.2-IP, ER, 3-K
87
pitches in 5.2 innings pitched is too much (3-BB). Peterson continues to not be
the guy we had hoped he will be. ERA down to 4.00
A+ St. Lucie – 1B Jeremy Vasquez:
2-4, R, .281
A-Columbia – RP Jake Simon: 2.2-IP,
0-R, 7-K
Low-A
Brooklyn – RP Jared Biddy: 2-IP, 0-R, 3-K,
0.00
That’s
10 appearances this year for Jared and still a 0.00 ERA.
Moving
him to blue.
Rookie
– Kingsport – SP Andres German: 6-IP, R, 3-K
GCL – DH Zach Ashford: 2-4, .300
DSL-1 – RF Freddy
Valdez: 2-5, R, 5th HR, 2-RBI
We
have been throwing a lot of kudos at Freddy this year. As I have said in the
past, he really is done at this level and should be sent to Florida for the
remainder of the GCL season.
DSL-2 – 3B Jose Rivera: 2-5, 2-R, 2nd
HR, 3-RBI
Wow for Jake Simon - great outing.
ReplyDeleteWe need Ruben to be a little squirrel for us starting today.
Ruben the Rodent is no Squirrel.
ReplyDeleteRuben will be Ruben. .230 hitter not great but ok glove. We can hope for more but players tend to play to the back of the baseball card.
ReplyDeleteAlso would bring Gimenez up to Syracuse fir the rest of the year just so he could play one month with the current veterans.
ReplyDeleteGood job by Jared thus far
