JT Schwartz
20/yrs. old SS 6-4 200 UCLA
Schwartz was a 2018 prep star that we covered prior to that draft. Redshirted his freshman year with the Bruins in 2019. His size moved him to first base.
His early 2020 stash line was: .320/.380/.391. Was reported that his power was developing.
Jose Torres
SS North Carolina State 20.yrs. 6-0 160
Torres was a 24th round pick by Milwaukee in 2019. He's an elite fielder that projects Gold Glove cred at both internal infield positions. Soft hands. Strong arm.
Still a work in progress at the plate. Has shown some pop that needs to be developed.
Limited 2020 stats: 60-AB, .333/.369/.533, 3-HR
Max Marusak
CF Texas Tech 20/yrs. 5-10 185
Marusak might be the fastest player in the draft. Definitely a lead-off candidate. Still, needs a lot more refinement when he is hitting. He just can't rely on his speed to get on base.
Adequate fielder with a power arm which currently projects him to remain in center.
Limited 2020 stats: 21-AB, .286/.318/.286, 0-HR
Jayden Melendez
C Westminster Christian (FL) 17/yrs., 5-9, 170
Not much size here which is fine for a catcher. 1.90 pop, Good set up with excellent transfer and throw. High energy.
Plenty of bat speed with whip. Short strokes and stays inside. Good power.
Casey Opitz
C Arkansas 21/yrs. 5-11, 175
Hopefully, it will be 100% by next June's draft
