Jones can really get down a mound and extension to the plate. Fastball has sink and some run. Changeup has flashed average at times with good tumble and separation off the fastball. Curveball also flashes average with good vertical tilt. Needs to refine command.

Brayden Jones is a 2021 RHP/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Quick arm in back coming to a high 3/4's slot, drifts quickly towards the plate with limited gather but arm is fast enough to catch up, pretty low effort directional mechanics with good extension out front. Fastball works in the low 90's, topped out at 93 mph, stays on top of his fastball well and gets some sink and run down in the zone. Curveball shows good 12/6 downer depth, showed nice feel for a low 80's change up with some fading life. Has a good idea how to mix and work to zones with all his pitches, definite starter profile. Impressive performance.

Brayden Jones: Madison-Ridgeland Academy High School, Class of 2021; 6-foot, 170-pound athletic frame; RHP/3B. On the mound, showing quick arm speed he had an over-the-top arm angle with a short arm action. He is a drop-and-drive type pitcher. Has plus action and consistent accuracy on his 11/5 curveball 71-73. His fastball was 84-88 mph; and topped out at 88 mph; had hard action on his tailing fastball. His changeup regularly came in at velocities of 80-82 mph.
