  1. I read that Blevind says he's going to Brooklyn and hopes to work his way back to Queens.

I think a healthy Vizcaino can be a big help this season, but I haven't seen anything about his plans.

Will we keep him as he rehabs in Brooklyn, or is he a FA?

  2. Bill, time will tell. Both could help s this season. Only so much room. We need a 35 man roster.

  3. So who are the 6 remaining that are outside the bubble that are still in camp?

  4. Are the injured guys included in '32 remain in major league camp'? Carrasco, Drew Smith, Seth Lugo?

  5. Think it is down to 31 now. Mike Montgomery was just released. José Martínez is also one of the players still in camp about to go to the DL.

  6. According to Tim Healey of Newsday, he either did or was going to exercise his opt-out.

But he also told Healey, "obviously I want to pitch in New York".

If so, why opt out instead of going to Brooklyn, as Blevins did?

Strange, unless he has something going with the Yankees.

  7. I'm disappointed that Gsellman made the team.

Montgomery's contract would have forced Mets to pay him $2.25 million if he made the team, so they cut him. Sandy didn't sign a second quality LHP for the pen.

All those resources. Less than ideal.

Of course, I'd rather have a good RHP than a bad LHP.

  8. Jimmy - The only hope that a deal is in the works but it is hard to see anyone giving value for Gsellman at this point.
