Congratulations, Luis Moreno, on being named @MiLB's Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for June 19th - June 25th.

Over his last four outings, Moreno has allowed just three runs over 22 innings (1.23 ERA), with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 28-to-6.

The 24-year-old is in his first year at the Double-A level. He signed with the Mets out of the Dominican Republic as an International Free Agent on June 8, 2019

Free Agency:

Matt Collier (@reillocity)

2023 MLB Free Agent Pitcher FaBIO Evolutions:

Rafael Montero

Middling middle relief profile, forward-splitty. Overachieved at AVG & ISO on Batted Balls in '22, fooling many (including HOU field staff & owner) into thinking he's a high-leverage RP. Valuation: ~$5M/year

Matt Collier (@reillocity)

Utah Valley RHSP Casey Anderson currently owns the 13th highest FaBIO Overall Rating ("least expected runs per batter faced") among draft-eligible SP qualifiers in this almost-done NCAA D1 season, with a 98th percentile Strikeouts Rating (thanks mostly to a 200 Stuff slider)

CLICK HERE - NATIONAL CHAMPS! LSU Defeats Florida for a 7th CWS Title -

LSU returned to the pinnacle of college baseball on Monday, defeating SEC rival Florida, 18-4, to win its seventh national championship and the 2023 College World Series.

Led by second-year head coach Jay Johnson – who became the first coach to win a title prior to his third season at an institution – LSU (54-17) overcame a 2-0 first-inning deficit by scoring six in the second and four in the fourth inning to take a commanding 10-2 lead.

LSU start Thatcher Hurd (8-3) earned his second win in the series, throwing six innings and allowing only two runs on two hits – the first two batters he faced – while striking out seven.

Peter Flaherty III @PeterGFlaherty

Such a big fan of Wyatt Langford’s operation. Strong base, barrel stays level through the hitting zone. Thunderous bat speed with an explosive back side. Professional hitter - hammers the baseball to all fields. Potential No. 1 overall pick this July.

  1. Luis Moreno does this one.more week, we take him seriously as a MLB future pitcher.

  2. The Mets' farm teams have all been off every Monday, but this week they have all been off for both Monday and Tuesday.
    Any reason why?

  3. Congratulations to Luis Moreno. The Rumble Ponies are starting to rumble now, as the pitching has returned from the depths. Vasil was so good he got promoted to AAA after getting EL pitcher of the month. Now Moreno gets EL pitcher of the week. And Dominic Hamel has figured a few things out - look out opposing hitters when this guy gets it together.

  4. Vasil picked for Futures game, Mauricio not. Is that a slight to Mauricio…or did MLB speak to the Mets, ho told MLB they’d promote him before that game? Game is July 8. That MLB Ranking has Crow at # 10. Mets’ jerks.
