Draft News:

Joe Doyle (@JoeDoyleMiLB)

Spent the last 48 hours connecting with decision-makers on who impressed the most during MLB Draft Combine interviews. Here are the 6 names who came up at least 3 times each.

Matt Shaw

Tommy Troy

Sammy Stafura

Walker Martin

Bryce Eldridge

Noble Meyer

Joe Doyle (@JoeDoyleMiLB)

There’s a bit of an undercurrent w/scouting execs suggesting Paul Skenes is being positioned to go No. 1 to the Pirates on an under-slot deal, allowing the Nationals to land Dylan Crews at No. 2 well over-slot. It was a conversation piece in Phoenix and continues today.

NCAA Baseball (@NCAABaseball)

Put Ty Floyd's name in legend status! He has tied the NCAA Record for most strikeouts in nine innings with 17!

Kendall Rogers (@KendallRogers):

What an incredibly impressive performance by LSU baseball RHP Ty Floyd tonight. He has 15 strikeouts through seven innings and has struck out four-straight Gators sluggers. Also still holding fastball velocity at 95-96 mph

PG College Baseball @PGCollegeBall

Tanner Witt (@ChathamAnglers | @TexasBaseball | '23) made his return to the CCBL w/ his first pre-draft start yesterday. FB 90-93, CH 79-80, CB in the low 70's. Less than ideal outing going 1.0 INN w/ 6 ERs but Witt is still coming back from TJ surgery

Geoff Pontes @GeoffPontesBA

Ben Williamson (2023 draft eligible)

@WMTribeBaseball  @harborhawks  has been on fire this summer. Williamson was our #1 player on the Cape Cod League Hot Sheet in week one. A potential top five round pick in a few weeks

Canes Baseball @TheCanesBB

Our very own Christian Rodriguez @thecrod10  is THE

Perfect Game USA  National High School Pitcher of The Year! Congratulations and thank you for representing our organization!

  1. “It's still hard to believe the Cubs acquired Pete Crow-Armstrong (#14 overall) from the Mets in exchange for a two-month rental of Javier Báez at the 2021 trade deadline. The best defensive outfielder in the minors, he is also hitting .276/.349/.493 with 22 extra-base hits and 17 steals in 49 games at Double-A. The 21-year-old could be the everyday center fielder in 2024.”

Nice to see Mauricio ar #39 and Parada at #76.

      Steve didn't hire Appler

He was around the 6th or 7th choice by
