Just 24 year old Jon Arauz is technically not a prospect as he had 175 MLB ABs (.200, 5 HR) since 2020, but in 25 AAA games starting June 1 he is 25 for 85, 17 walks, 4 doubles, 3 triples, 7 HRs, 19 RBI, 22 runs, .295/.405/.658 over that stretch. If they do make trades and want to keep R Mo in the minors a while longer to develop defense, Arauz could certainly warrant a call up.
ReplyDeleteHe ought to be on this prospects list for visibility, is my suggestion.
Per your...
DeleteI will add him next time
FWIW, both Hamel and Scott are 24 also.
ReplyDeletePer "birdie" Vasil came out last night at around 60 pitches because they are keeping him to a strict pitch count while he gets used to a 5 man rotation
DeleteDoes "birdie" have any reason why Peterson was pulled after 4 IP/61p, with a 4-run lead a few days ago?
DeleteI've heard mixed reviews on Tidwell , does he have legitimate potential to become a good major league starter?
DeleteSorry, no Bill
ReplyDeleteThat's on Buck and yesterday's birthday boy, Heffner
C Nick Meyer is hitting well in AAA after May. Too bad he has to split catching duties with Nido, who is “tearing up the minors” to the tune of 9 for 45 with 3 ribbies.
ReplyDeleteI do see Meyer becoming the backup or emergency catcher in 2024
DeleteRight before Parada knocks him off hs perch
Back up catcher, very underrated position. Check it out, teams with good backup catchers are usually playoff teams.
