MACK - Draft News

MLB Draft @MLBDraft

“He would only be able to fall asleep if he did the winning thing."

JJ Wetherholt has gone from a victory-obsessed kid to a potential top 10 Draft pick.

 Here's his story:

 (a top 10 pick next month…)

 Brian Recca @brian_recca

                     Peyton Olejnik Univ. Miami

Giant righty listed at 6'11-210! Made his draft league debut yesterday. 2.0 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 K. VERY uncomfortable AB. Gets huge extension in delivery allowing stuff to play up. 1 batter look here w/ slo-mo

 FB: 92-94

SL: 81-84

(third day pick…)

 Aaron Fitt @aaronfitt

FINAL: Florida beats NC State 5-4, as Brandon Neely finishes it with three electric innings of relief. Gators stay alive, and NC State's outstanding season comes to an end.

SEC teams are now 4-0 vs. ACC teams here in Omaha.

                         Kendall Rogers @KendallRogers

What a beast Brandon Neely is for Florida. Wow. Struck out six in three shutout innings and allowed just one hit in a 5-4 win over NC State to stay alive at the College World Series.

(Neely has really pushed himself this year into the projected first reliever being picked nect month…)

 Ian Smith @IanSmittyGA

High-octane look out of the bullpen this morning for 2025 RHP Lane Sharp.

 Arm speed ‼️

Lively FB at 89-91 with ride and feel to spin (2400+)

Paired with a mid-70s SL with ability to tunnel well.

 Uncommitted

 (new name for me…)

 Jared Perkins @JaredCP1

                        RHP Nick Moten Crowder|Trenton Thunder

Moten was the most impressive arm I saw during MLB Draft League coverage. Solid competitor w/ controlled emotion. Attacks hitters. Stuff was electric. Commands the zone well.

FB 93-95

CT 91-93

SL 82-85

CB 78-80

(right now, I have him as a third day pick)
