ReplyDeleteFirst Matt Allen now Scott. He will be 27 when he returns and has never thrown 100 innings.His future role may be in relief. It’s been many years since we have developed a home grown front line pitcher. If we want to compete with the top teams need to sign Corbin Burnes and resign Manea and hope Sproat can overcome his difficulties at Syracuse and join the rotation next year. Bhutto should remain as long man. So… Burnes, Senga, Manea, Sproat and Peterson.
ReplyDeleteJJ, that seems a valid plan. Scott will most likely be 27, or almost 27, when he steps back on a Citi Field mound. Hard to grasp.
