Tom Brennan: Binghamton Full Season Hitter Stats: Mets Rocking

KEVIN PARADA

(First, Alicia Keys just sang THIS TEAM IS ON FIRE! 10-0? Quintana doing his best Jon Tudor imitation, and tons of hitting from a line up without McNeil, Martinez, and Lindor. And Acuna HR, another hit, .467? Like 1969 again.)

Now that the AA season is over, here are Binghamton Rumble Ponies hitter stats.

Pardon the names in the table being squished. The table transfer was tough.

The entire team itself hit .225.

Note the high strikeouts and low averages.

Which of these are actual bona fide prospects to you?

Please remember that:

McIlwain left mid-season to play indy ball;

JT Schwartz and Wyatt Young were promoted to AA, where both are hitting substantially lower than they did in AA; and

Rhylan Thomas was traded for Ryne Stanek.

All the other hitters that had any sizable number of ABs hit below .240.

Without the departed Thomas, Young, and Schwartz, they hit around .210.

  1. This Binghamton hitters' summary got pushed off the front page of the site by my ensuing pitchers' article at 7:30. Please be aware that it is there, and give it a glance.

  2. As far as Binghamton is concerned, Rhylan Thomas was promoted. He was in Syracuse when he got traded.

    This team had the same illness that the whole system had: not enough offensive talent. Ramirez was a major disappointment. I wonder if they give him one last hurrah before designating him for assignment so he can come off the 40 man. Boy, was that premature.

  3. I want to see Clifford start off here in March, and cut the K’s.
