2025 Draft Prospect - 3B - Brian Molinaro - Penn State

I'm not sure Penn State 3B Bryce Molinaro is receiving enough respect on public draft boards. Coming off a .329/.409/.560 sophomore slash with 11 homers. Enormous raw bat speed with real feel for the barrel.

Averaged exit velocity north of 92 mph last season; good for Top 20

Bryce Molinaro has found a home in Happy Valley.

The former Hazleton Area two-sport star and two-time Standard-Speaker Athlete of the Year was named to the All-Big Ten third team in his first season with the Penn State baseball team, as announced by the conference ahead of its postseason tournament on Tuesday.

The redshirt freshman from Drums has started all 50 games at third base for the Nittany Lions in 2024 after transferring from St. John’s. He took a .325 batting average with 62 hits (11 doubles, one triple, 10 homers), 40 RBI, 44 runs, 23 walks and seven steals into Wednesday’s tournament opener against Illinois. His .550 slugging percentage and a .406 on-base percentage rank among the team’s best in both statistical categories.

He has 18 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI games this season.

Molinaro extended his hit streak to 15 games on Wednesday with a opposite-field, ground-rule double, as he helped the Lions upset the top-seeded Fighting Illini, 8-4. They will meet either Michigan or Iowa in a winners’ bracket game on Thursday evening.
