2021 National Showcase
Jonathan Kim is a 2022 OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Brookfield, WI who attends Brookfield Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Fast-twitch, ran a 6.49 60-yard dash.
Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball, clean funnel out to side and works into a longer gather, occasionally gets uphill with release but shows accuracy to the intended base, quickness and agility play in actions and could project in center field at the next level.
Left-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set at the plate; aggressive shift through lower half, works on a linear plane and turns the barrel over well with a loose stroke through the zone.
Steady line drive
contact to the pull side, flashes juice off of the barrel, generates some whip
to the barrel, nice offensive tools in the box.
Kim sounds solid if he is a legit 5’11”
