ReplyDeleteFrankly they could have doubled the DSL list
Thanks, John. Surprised at Ramos, and Jordany Ventura. Otherteams’ free agents are likely similar in caliber to this list.
ReplyDeleteI always liked Junior Santos. Thought he was an imposing presence on the mound, but struggled with control. Another story of someone that could throw in the 90's but not consistently bring strikes.
ReplyDeletePaul, it is odd that I think the only season Santos pitched effectively was when he was age 16 in the DSL. LONG time ago.
ReplyDeleteBryce Montes de Oca one of the guys they kept. Hope he can stay healthy.
ReplyDeleteJeremiah Jackson's career has been derailed by the strikeout. Although it is fair to say that the Mets never would have had him had his strikeout rate been better. He still has a sweet swing and is a very athletic fielder. I liked him when I saw him in Binghamton.
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting if Bryce MDO comes back as a new and improved Terminator II. His earlier version Terminator I was a bit fragile. "102! 102! 102!"
