MACK - POSSIBLE RHPs AVAILABLE IN A TRADE

Yesterday, we took a look at some possible lefties that could be available in a mid-season trade.

Today… the righties:

We’re breaking this up into two posts. Today, righties in the top 67 MLB ranking and tomorrow righties in the 68-100 rankings.

Remember… AAA and AA players only.

Ryan Sloan – Seattle Mariners -  AA

                AA – 14-ST, 2-2, 4.04, 1.18, 62.1-IP, 12-BB. 77-K

Fastball (primary pitch, plus or better): Sits mid-90s (often 94–98 mph), touching 99+ mph. Features good ride, arm-side run, heaviness, and the ability to cut or sink it. High spin rates and extension help it play well up in the zone or for ground balls.

Slider (key secondary, swing-and-miss offering): Low-to-mid 80s (e.g., 80–86 mph), with sharp 10/4 or sweeping action, high spin (often 2400–2700+ rpm), and two-plane depth. Can be used for strikes or chases; a "hard sweeper" or variant.

Changeup (advanced for age, plus potential): Mid-to-upper 80s, with strong fading/sinking action. Often described as a "kick-change" or splitter-like; excellent arm-speed deception and a strong weapon vs. lefties.

Cutter (developing fourth pitch): Flashed in the low-to-mid 90s; helps fill gaps and adds variety.

Travis Sykora – Washington Nationals – AA

2026 – ON IL – UCL reconstruction surgery

                2025 – 4-teams:  12-ST, 3-1, 1.79, 0.77, 45.1-IP, 17-BB, 79-K

Four-Seam Fastball (Grade: 60): His primary pitch, typically sitting 93-97 mph (averaged ~95.4 mph in 2025 tracking), with the ability to touch 98-100+ mph. It features good ride/extension (up to ~7 feet from his 6'6" frame) and some armside run. He uses it to attack the top of the zone for whiffs and sets up his off-speed pitches. As an amateur, it reached 101 mph.

Splitter (Grade: 55-60, often his signature secondary): Mid-80s velocity (roughly 10 mph separation from the fastball), with low spin (<1,000 rpm) for sharp downward tumble/fade. Excellent whiff rates (e.g., ~56% in early 2025 samples) and particularly effective against lefties (inducing chases and weak contact). He developed it in high school and has increased its usage.

Slider (Grade: 55): Low-80s to mid-80s (83-86+ mph). Versatile shape—he can manipulate it for sweep (away from righties) or more vertical drop. Strong whiff and chase rates; it plays well off the fastball and splitter.

Jarlin Susana – Washington Senators – AA

2026 – ON IL – torn right lat

             2025 – 2-teams:  14-ST, 1-4, 3.51, 1.31, 56.1-IP, 30-BB, 83-K

Four-seam Fastball (primary): Sits 98–101 mph, touches 102–103 mph (has reached as high as 106 mph in bullpens). It is described as a "laser" with high velocity but relatively straight movement. Elite velo grade (often 70/70). Used heavily to overpower hitters.

Two-seam Fastball / Sinker: Sits ~99 mph (up to 102+). Generates ground balls and has more horizontal movement than the four-seamer. Complements the four-seamer well.

Slider (put-away pitch, often plus or better): 85–90+ mph (sits upper 80s, has reached mid-90s). High whiff rates (e.g., 59% at Double-A in 2025); gyro shape with late vertical drop or sweep. Many evaluators consider it his best pitch or equal to the fastball for generating misses and chases. Can be manipulated for different shapes.

Changeup (developing third pitch): Low-to-mid 90s (e.g., 92–94 mph), with sink and some movement. Fringe/average offering that lags behind the fastball and slider but shows promise for starting. Usage is lower.

Gage Wood – Philadelphia Phillies – AA

                2026 – A:  8-ST, 0-2, 3.42, 1.10, 26.1-IP, 12-BB, 40-K

                          AA:  8-ST, 0-1, 3-45, 1.15, 28.2-IP, 9-BB, 39-K

Four-Seam Fastball (primary pitch, ~60%+ usage): Sits 94–97 mph (tops out 98+ mph), with strong carry, low release height, and a flat approach angle that generates high whiff rates and chases. It plays up due to velocity, extension, and deception. Elite "heater" with plus or better grades.

Slider (developing secondary, increasing usage ~20–25%): Upper 80s (e.g., 86–87 mph avg), gyro/slider shape. The Phillies have emphasized improving its consistency and zone command for use against both righties and lefties. Shows promise as a strike-thrower or chase pitch.

Curveball (power breaker, key off-speed): 82–85 mph with sharp vertical drop/snap (high spin, "banger" or "snap dragon" shape). A swing-and-miss weapon, especially when tunneled off the fastball; can vary for more sweep. Strong secondary in college and pro ball.

Changeup/Splitter (occasional, ~3–5% or less): Mid-to-upper 80s with fade/split action. Used sparingly (more vs. lefties) but part of the mix for depth; refinement is ongoing

Anthony Eyanson – Boston Red Sox – AA

             2026 – A+:  5-ST, 0-0, 0.44, 0.49, 20.1-IP, 3-BB, 34-K

                          AA:  9-G, 8-ST, 4-0, 1.56, 0.99, 40.1-IP, 18-BB, 45-K

Fastball (4-seam): Primary pitch, sitting mid-90s (often 93-98 mph, has touched 100+ mph). Features good ride/life from his high 3/4 release and steep attack angle despite lower spin. Strong command; used to both sides of the plate. Velocity jumped from low-90s in college.

Slider: Often his best or go-to secondary pitch (plus or better). Mid-to-upper 80s (e.g., 82-89 mph), with sharp vertical depth/bite rather than pure sweep. High whiff rate; generates chases and swing-and-miss in or out of the zone.

Curveball: "Hammer" or 12-6 shape with good vertical depth. Upper 70s to low 80s (e.g., 77-83 mph). Effective as a chase pitch, especially vs. lefties; pairs well with his other offerings.

Splitter (or Changeup variant): Low-80s, with late dive/arm-side fade. Added or refined more in pro ball; generates whiffs and provides a different look against both handedness. Sometimes described as having changeup-like action.

River Ryan – Los Angeles Dodgers – AAA

             2026 -  AAA:  8-ST, 3-1, 4.46, 1.29, 36.1-IP, 8-BB, 43-K

Four-seam Fastball (primary, ~40% usage): 96-98 mph (touches 100+). High-velocity heater with good ride.

Slider (key secondary, ~23%): 89-91 mph. Often his best pitch for swing-and-miss; high whiff rate.

Curveball (~16%): 83-84 mph. Good depth and spin.

Sinker (~10%): 94-96 mph. Used for ground balls.

Changeup (~8-9%): ~89-90 mph. Developing offering, especially vs. lefties.

Cutter (less frequent, ~3%): ~94 mph. For added variety.
